Draft: some details about who runs Fretudes are still missing (config/legal.yml). Fill them in, and have this text reviewed, before launch.

Terms of service

Last updated October 13, 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and TODO: your full name, trading as (business name), TODO: business address, Poland, tax ID TODO: NIP ("we"), for using Fretudes (the website and the app). By creating an account you accept them. Contact: TODO: contact email for privacy and support.

1. The service

Fretudes teaches scales, modes and music theory for the guitar with lessons, exercises, spaced practice and reference tools. Some of it is free; some needs Fretudes Pro. We keep improving it, so features may change; we won't take away something you've paid for during the period you've paid for.

2. Your account

3. Fair use

Don't misuse Fretudes: no attempts to break into it or other people's accounts, to overload it, to copy its content or exercises in bulk (by scraping or otherwise), or to resell it. We may suspend or close an account that does, after warning you where that's reasonable.

4. Fretudes Pro and payments

5. Content

The lessons, exercises, texts, diagrams and software are ours (or licensed to us) and protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning. Your practice data is yours.

6. Availability and liability

We work to keep Fretudes available and correct, but can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or free of mistakes; it's a learning aid, not professional advice. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when the service or the law changes. We'll tell you about important changes in the app at least 14 days before they take effect; if you don't agree, you can delete your account before then.

8. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Polish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and can bring a claim there. Let's try to sort out any problem first: write to TODO: contact email for privacy and support.
